Clean blank rows and columns

Remove the blank rows Excel leaves behind, plus any empty columns that crept in. You can also skip a preamble, treat the first line as data, or shuffle rows before splitting a dataset.

What this tool does not do

Cell values are not rewritten here — use the normalizing tool for that. A row counts as blank only when every cell is empty or whitespace.

FAQ

What counts as a blank row?
A row where every cell is empty or contains only spaces. One non-empty cell keeps the row.
Can I skip the preamble?
Yes — set “skip the first N lines”. Handy for CSVs that start with a title or an export timestamp.
What if there is no header row?
Turn on “treat the first line as data” and line one is exported as a data row instead of becoming the header.
Why shuffle rows?
Useful for breaking an ordered export, or before splitting a dataset for training and testing.
Is anything uploaded?
No — the whole operation runs in your browser.
